Directions to the University Practice

The University Practice is located within University of Birmingham Sport and Fitness.  This new facility is situated on the Bristol Road (A38) opposite Bournbrook Fire Station in Selly Oak.

BY FOOT

The entrance to Sport and Fitness is located by the South Gate Entrance to the University on the Bristol Road. Walk through the black iron gates onto the campus and take the path on the right side of the road. This passes by the front entrance of the building which is on the right hand side of the path.

BY CAR

The dedicated car park for Sport and Fitness is located on Edgbaston Park Road, just off of the Bristol Road. The entrance is opposite the Lloyds Bank. Once parked, exit the car park at the opposite end to which you arrived. This will bring you out close to the main entrance which is located down the path to your left. Physiokinetic patients can validate their parking ticket free of charge prior to leaving in the reception of Sport and Fitness.

BY RAIL

The University has a dedicated train station, located at the Westgate entrance to campus. Up to six trains an hour depart for the University on the cross-city line between Redditch / Longbridge and Lichfield. Sport & Fitness is a ten minute walk from University Station across the campus. From the station head towards the Clock Tower (Old Joe).  Continue forward towards the East Gate entrance. When you reach the ring road in front on the East Gate, bear right down the slope. Join the path on the left side of the road before it bends round to the right. This path will continue down steps to the entrance of Sport and Fitness.

BY BUS

Numbers 61, X62 and 63 travel to the University of Birmingham Edgbaston campus. Sport & Fitness is located by the Southgate entrance to campus. The services all run frequently from the city centre. Online bus timetables for 61, X62 and 63 are available on the National Express West Midlands web site.

Directions On Arrival

Enter the building through the glass doors and make your way to reception.  Explain to the staff that you have a physiotherapy appointment and they will provide you with a swipe card that gives you access through the security gates and into the Performance Centre which is on the Second Floor. The stairs and lift are located on the right just past the security gates.  Once you have entered the Performance Centre, please take a seat on the left and wait to be called by your Physiotherapist.

Directions to the City Centre Practice

BY FOOT

The City Centre Practice is located at Crosby Court, 28 George Street, B3 1QG.  George Street is a one way street which can be accessed from either end on foot.  Newhall Street is at the northern end and the mini roundabout next to Sytner BMW showroom is at the southern end.  

Walk down into the car park, steering left across to the main entrance of the building.  Press the buzzer labelled ‘Physiokinetic’ for entry to the building.  Once inside, walk through the next set of doors and turn left.  The clinic door will be directly ahead.

BY CAR

Once on George Street, drive forward approximately 200m.  Crosby Court will be situated on your left side opposite an off licence and convenience store.  Turn into Crosby Court and park in the designated Physiokinetic car parking spaces.  These are immediately on your left as you drive into the car park.  Car parking is free.

Make your way on foot to the front of the building.  Press the buzzer labelled ‘Physiokinetic’ for entry to the building.  Once inside, walk through the next set of doors and turn left.  The clinic door will be directly ahead.

BY RAIL

There are four train stations within 1 mile of the clinic; Jewellery Quarter (500m, 10 minute walk), Snow Hill Station (700m, 14 minute walk), New Street Station (800m, 17 minute walk), Moor Street Station (900m, 18 minute walk).  Walking directions can be found by using the clinic postcode (B3 1QG) in Google Maps.
